Daily market movement summary, built twice

The group's daily share-price and market-movement summary, assembled from the overnight documents and on every desk before eight, built for two teams on two platforms.

Client: a global dual-listed groupSector: Group finance

The build

What the problem was, and what we did about it.

The problem

A summary that has to exist by eight in the morning, built by hand from documents that arrive at seven. Two teams in the group had the same morning.

What we built

For one team, a Power Automate flow that collects the overnight report and workbooks, reads the figures with AI, calculates the movements and writes the summary workbook with its charts. For the other, a Google Apps Script that opens the protected files, runs the arithmetic and publishes the summary across the group's pillars. Same morning, solved twice, each on the platform that team already worked in.
