Year-End Sprint

Competition rules

01The promoter

This competition is run by Appventure Developer House (Pty) Ltd, trading as Appventure (the promoter), registration number 2024/558243/07. Our registered address is on record with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC), and we will give it to you on request.

02Who may enter

Anyone in South Africa who is 18 or older and holds a valid driver's licence, except the promoter's directors, employees and their immediate families, and anyone involved in running the competition. The colleague the winner brings must also be 18 or older and hold a valid driver's licence, because each of them drives.

One entry per person. Entries from one email address after the first are not counted.

03How to enter

Entries open on 20/10/2026 and close at midnight on 20/11/2026, South African time. A run signed before the opening date earns no entry code.

Play Year-End Sprint on appventure.tech and beat Roger Wyllie's published score in any one of the three worlds, then sign the run: the game issues an entry code.

Repost any of Roger Wyllie's LinkedIn posts about the site, and share the site with a colleague on any channel. Keep a screenshot of each.

Submit the entry form on appventure.tech/enter with the entry code, the two screenshots, your name and email address, and the car you would like to drive, between the opening date and the closing date.

Entry is free. Data costs to use the site are the entrant's own.

04The prize

One prize: a supercar driving experience for the winner and one colleague, being a person who works at the same organisation as the winner, with Race Day Events on one of its scheduled Cape Town dates: thirty minutes of driving in total, fifteen minutes each, in the car each of them chooses from an Audi R8 V10, a Porsche 911 Turbo or a Ferrari 360 Spider. The promoter books the experience, which is valid for twelve months from the date it is bought, on the provider's terms: each driver holds a valid driver's licence, and a date lost to weather is rescheduled.

The prize is a trip to Cape Town: where the winner lives outside Cape Town, the promoter pays for return flights to Cape Town and accommodation for the winner and the colleague, booked by the promoter, up to R 4,000 per person for the flights and R 2,000 per person for the accommodation. Other expenses are the winner's own. The prize is not transferable and there is no cash alternative. The provider's own terms apply on the day.

05The draw

Entries close at midnight on Friday 20/11/2026, South African time. The winner is drawn at random on Monday 23/11/2026 from all valid entries received by then, under the oversight of an independent chartered accountant who is not connected to the promoter.

Before the prize is handed over, the winner's winning run is verified in a short supervised play-through, and the two screenshots are checked. An entry whose run cannot be repeated to a reasonable standard, or whose screenshots do not show what they claim, is invalid, and another winner is drawn.

The winner is contacted by email within three working days of the draw and has ten working days to accept. If the prize is not accepted in that time, another winner is drawn.

06Fair play

The game is played in a browser. Scores are checked by the promoter's own server for plausibility, and any entry the promoter reasonably believes was obtained by tampering with the game, automating it, or submitting false screenshots is invalid.

The promoter's decisions on validity are final, subject to the independent overseer.

07Your information

The promoter collects the entrant's name, email address, organisation, entry code, screenshots and car choice to run the competition, and keeps them for three months after the draw and then for the period the Consumer Protection Act requires a promoter to keep records of a promotional competition, as the Privacy Notice says. Names on the cap tables are public. The winner's name and contact details, and the colleague's, are given to the provider of the driving experience to book the prize, and to the airline and the accommodation where those are booked. Entrants who tick the marketing box may be emailed about what Appventure builds and may unsubscribe at any time by emailing info@appventure.tech with the word unsubscribe; they are taken off the list before the next mailing. The site's Privacy Notice applies, and the promoter's Information Officer is Roger Wyllie, reachable at info@appventure.tech.

08Publicity

The winner may be asked to agree to a photograph and a short post about the prize. Agreement is voluntary and not a condition of receiving the prize.

09General

LinkedIn is not a sponsor of, and is not associated with, this competition.

The promoter may cancel or change the competition where required by law or by circumstances beyond its control, and will say so on the site.
